Hiya Larry! Love the CD. Your vocals together are really your claim to fame, no questions asked. Not many groups rise to the level that you guys have vocally, and not to sound sexist, but especially guys! Nice job! I have a design idea or two for a couple of them, given your vocal abilities. I think you guys oughtta do an echoing harmony or repeat melody on the tune "All the Time" - like when you sing "it's overwhelming . . ." someone(s) could be singing behind you just the dragged out word "o. . . ver. . . whel. . . ming". And like on the chorus, instead of just la la la's . . . the guys sing the actual words "All . . . The . . . Time . . . " I was doing this through the song, kind of an IndigoGirl-esque touch, and it was really cool. And you guys could really pull it off. Do you know what i mean? I love that trailing echo harmony stuff. You can't use it a lot, but it's a cool effect if you have good vocalists (and you do). Just a thought.
"Five More Minutes" is a very cool tune, but i think the repetitions at the start up takes a little too long. I was ready for the actual tune to begin before those reps were over, but that's just my opinion. The rest of the song is just killer. Anyhoo . . . hope these thoughts are okay . . . have you received mine yet? Did you get Derek Sivers' latest bit of wisdom? CDBaby is great stuff, though we have a lot of competition out there! There's just so much great talent/music out there . . . hard to get heard. I'll go through what he sent us, as well as looking at some of those websites you sent me. It's all good. Have a great day!

Hi Larry! What a sweet note! Thanks so much; i really enjoyed your song on there too. Great lyrics, harmony, and the harp adds a nice touch. I was really impressed with a number of tunes on that sampler - they do a pretty nice job, and there's just so much talent out there. This was my first effort as far as song writing and recording go, but i'm on to another one, with 8 new originals and probably a few covers. I have a little home studio; i used a Tascam 2488 to do all the recording on that CD, but i sent it out to CD Marksman in Tempe, AZ to have it mastered. I'm not thrilled with a lot of what they did, so i'll attempt the mastering myself (or at least a little closer to home so i can be a part of the decision making) on this next one. I'll send you a copy of it if you give me your address - maybe a trade?

Jerry, you and the Fource have a winner! Five More Minutes and Hitchhiken Thru Life are my favorites. Shades of Gray makes you sit and think what life is all about and how things change as you get older. 'Til Something Better Comes Along has a country feel to it and it's nice to be able to hear songs that you can understand the words and sing along to. Heck, there isn't a song I don't like on this CD.
